Following on the heels of the successful "Swimming" release, Jason Burke's new album continues the themes that define his music: original progressive hard rock. Contributing artists on Fly include Matthew Porcaro (drums) and Todd Serafin (guitars).

Just got the good news -- mastering of Fly is now done!  I just listened to the newly mastered tracks, and they sound awesome.  Vinnie did an incredible job as usual, I can't wait for folks to be able to hear it.  The next steps are to get some CDs made and post the material so everyone can check it out, so stay tuned!

Well, I've finished all of the mixing for Fly. Mixing has always been one of those things that I struggle with -- not that it is particularly hard, but it can be tedious. But I've given drafts to Matthew and Vinnie, and the general consensus is we are ready to go.

For those that don't know, the next step in the process is called mastering, and that is not something I have the skills to do. Thankfully, Vinnie Simonette does, so we've asked him to step in and help make this work sound like it should. I'll post another update when the mastering is done.
